Oocyte shipment

Oocytes are normally sent from Monday to Thursday from the EXRC by 10 am, next day delivery and many laboratories in the UK and overseas have standing orders for oocytes. Oocytes are sent in 1 x MBS as an un-dissected ovary in a 50 ml Falcon tube packed in wet ice.

We have found this to be the most effective way of sending them. We can provide enzymatically defolliculated oocytes if needed but these are expensive due to the time involved in selecting them after defolliculation.
