Line name: Xla.Tg(CAG:eGFP,mCherry)ETNKA
Synonyms: CAGGs-lp-Cherry
EXRC line: #111
Non-standard MTA required: No
Transgene description: Ubiquitous eGFP expression. The plasmid contains a CAG promoter directly upstream to a loxP-floxed DNA cassette. The first position of the cassette is an eGFP sequence with a triple SV40 polyA sequence. The second position is a mCherry sequence with a rabbit beta-globin polyA sequence.
Phenotype: Green fluorescence signal all over the body, most obvious in the muscle tissues of the tail or legs. When mated with CreER transgenic lines, the CreER/loxP-double-positive offspring will express mCherry (red fluorescence) in the cells where the recombination of loxP sites occurs upon 4OHT treatment.
