Transgene description: A GFP-flpe-kan cassette was introduced in-frame into a X. tropicalis fosmid clone, AOPZ250282 (EXRC), using homologous recombination technique. After the recombination, the kangene used as a selection marker was flipped out from the fosmid by arabinose induced Flpe recombinase.
Phenotype: GFP expression in the kidney and neurons .Pax8 expression from neurula stages – transgene can be visualised by GFP fluorescence in the kidney (pronephros and mesonephros) and head neurons from stage 14.
